Seminole Behavioral Healthcare recently thanked our veterans (and those who love them) by offering a FREE online course to the greater community. The normal fee for the course is $12. This was in honor of Veterans Day. The course is still available for purchase by clicking to tab to "our courses" at the left of this page.
This course is designed to provide a basic understanding of the emotional and behavioral challenges facing our soldiers and their families. The following are the objectives of the course:
- Define the symptoms of major mental health disorders.
- Understand the prevalence of mental health issues among our soldiers and their families.
- Learn to identify when a person is in need of professional help, and how to respond effectively.
- List the basic resources available to help those with emotional and behavioral problems.
